How did you come up
with the name GetLost Now?
We came up with
the name because we literally got lost during a run, but in
doing so, we were able to come up with the idea and vision of
GetLost Now.
Do you want
people to go out and get lost like you guys did?
No. Quite the contrary, GetLost Now means to experience and enjoy
the activities you already do or to try new ones. We want to show
people that it is important to have a routine to experience
different activities or the ones you enjoy.
What is your
goal for traveling to all 50 states in 80 days?
We want to show how everyone in different areas of the U.S. have
the same and also different activities they enjoy and showcase
some of them. At the same time, we are raising awareness and
support for Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.
Isn't your goal
for raising support for Alzheimer's and Parkinson's different from
your goal of showing different activities?
Actually, they are linked. My grandmother loved to knit. One day
she sat down to knit and realized she didn't know what to do next.
Alzheimer's and Parkinson's take away activities that people love
and enjoy. It shouldn't be like that.
How are you
coming up with one million dollars?
With our RV going to all 50 states, (well, we are flying to Hawaii
and Alaska) we are a moving billboard because so many people will
follow us including the news and local media. If any companies are
looking for advertising and a write off on their taxes we would
love to talk to you. Any individuals that want to donate that
would be awesome too. Everything helps us to reach our goal.
How do you guys
work on this, go to school and run cross-country at the same time?
Good question… |
